We are friends, who are food, gardening and environmental enthusiasts, with the good fortune to meet at TomKat Ranch.
A number of interesting pollinators brought this whole idea to fruition. Foremost the hot topics of: eating more local food to help sustain our communities; buying local to reduce carbon footprints; eating more real food; knowing more about where our food is grown, who is growing it and how it is grown.
We’ve also been able to participate in discussions with the local school district about improving the school lunch program and the health of our community children.
Lastly is the feeling of community and wanting to join with others in efforts to share seeds, gardening stories, foods, fruits, recipes, etc. for the enrichment of us all.
